Not enough spices to make it Grandma's kitchen, but I like the idea. Kinda like the grandmother who lives out in the woods in Little Red Riding Hood. Perhaps it instead had a grim end, and the big bad wolf cleared out all the spices in the kitchen. I must say, if I haven't already, that your works really make me think, and I appreciate that highly.

HDR or tone mapping?

A hdr can not be realized without tone mapping?;)

This is true - but one is able to "tone map" a single exposure / shot without having to build an HDR compilation - thus my question - which I believe is still valid???

I think what you're asking is if this was created using multiple exposures. HDR just refers to the dynamic range of the image - it doesn't technically require multiple exposures. Nice capture!!
